With more than three decades of experience, James D. Albert, M.D., RPVI, FAVLS, is Colorado’s leading expert in the treatment of superficial venous disease (varicose and spider veins). Board-Certified in both Cardiovascular Surgery and Phlebology, Dr. Albert is uniquely qualified to provide his patients with the most advanced vein care available anywhere.

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Dr. James D. Albert, RPVI, completed his General Surgery training and Residency at New York-Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell Medical Center. Eventually relocating to Colorado, Dr. Albert completed a Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver. He went on to serve as Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UCHealth-Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.

After more than 20 years of training and practicing Cardiovascular Surgery, Dr. Albert left his position to take on an exciting new challenge.

He recognized that technical advances in the treatment of vein disease offered a new opportunity: to provide patients with maximum results using today’s most advanced and minimally invasive vein care technology and treatment, all available in one location. Devoted exclusively to vein care, the leading physician provides the patient evaluation, treatment plans, and is actively involved in many of the procedures and care of each patient from start to final outcome.

With this vision in mind, Dr. Albert successfully developed a state-of-the-medical-arts facility that could handle all diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of medical and cosmetic venous disease. Dr. Albert was one of the first physicians in Colorado to develop this comprehensive model for today’s minimally invasive vein care, concentrated in one location.
