COVID-19 Update

|

Dear AVI Patients, As a personal message from Dr. Albert, the AVI Medical Team, and AVI Administrative Team, we want you to know that the health and safety of our patients and staff remains our number one priority.

We are monitoring closely the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) from all angles and entities. We are aware of everyone’s concerns and we want to reassure you that we are taking this very seriously. We are staying abreast of all the latest information, and we are ensuring that we remain in compliance with all regulations and recommendations from Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as our Federal and State governments. As of today, our practice remains open to see scheduled patients. We will keep you updated with any new information as pertaining to the daily operation of our vein practice, as this is a very dynamic and fluid situation. We want you to be assured that we will continue to use the high level of cleanliness that we have always employed, following the standards of Universal Precautions.

This means we use barrier protections and high-level disinfectants in the operating rooms, steam sterilization for all instruments, and personal protective equipment to ensure that every patient is shielded against cross-contamination. In addition, our employees are increasingly vigilant about hand hygiene between patients, common areas in our waiting rooms, and throughout the offices. We have also confirmed that our building management is taking all necessary and recommended precautions to step up the sterilization of the common areas throughout the building to include the front doors, restrooms, and elevators. We care about you and your vein care needs, and we will continue to provide the comprehensive, high quality, compassionate care you've come to expect from our providers.

If you have an upcoming appointment, we look forward to seeing you in the office soon. Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible to reduce your time spent in our waiting area. If, however, you feel the need to reschedule your appointment, we understand. In fact, we would appreciate a call so we can move your appointment to a later date if:

  • You currently have a fever or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough, shortness of breath or a sore throat;
  • You have traveled internationally or domestically within the last 14 days to COVID-19 restricted countries or locally affected geographic areas; or
  • You have had contact with someone with known or suspected COVID-19.

If you would like more information about COVID-19, please go to CDC website for comprehensive guidelines.

Best to you All,

Dr. James Albert and the AVI Team
